Are on the same list. It’s nice, because usually when I think of George Orwell and me showing up in the same breath, I imagine something along the lines of “Wouldn’t it be nice if I could write a book as good as one of Orwell’s?”
Whether I’ve come even remotely close to that gold standard is to be determined, but it’s a delight seeing VOX and 1984 on the same list of dystopian must-read fiction, along with Naomi Alderman’s brilliantly shocking The Power and five other amazing looking books.
