I confess, every once in a while I run a few reports over on Google Analytics. First, it’s a break from the insanity that has become part of daily life. Second, what I find is just fascinating.
One day, it’s Thailand; the next day, Tennessee. Barcelona and Buenos Aires. A publishing house, a media group, a university. Times and dates and entry pages and exit pages. Who’s reading what and when they’re reading it. How they got there (Facebook, Twitter, Google, direct link). Which links to my flash fiction publications they’ve clicked.
Admittedly, this might not be the most productive way for a writer to spend her time, but it’s fun. And insightful.
